Important notice

CymruDomains.com is closing

Transfer your domain names to a registrar of your choice as soon as possible.

Log in to transfer your domains

We are no longer accepting new registrations, and in due course you will no longer be able to manage your domain names here. Your domain names and your rights to them are not affected by this closure.

Transferring your domain takes three steps

1

Sign in to your account here, exactly as you do today. Your account stays open so you can transfer out.

2

Get your auth code

Open the domain name and click Generate code. We email the authorisation code to the domain's Administrative Contact.

3

Transfer it away

Give the code to your new registrar and they will complete the transfer, usually within five days.

Stuck at any point? Email us at support@cymrudomains.com and we will help.

FAQs

We are consolidating our retail platforms so we can focus on giving you the best possible service. CymruDomains.com will be closing, and your domain names and your rights to them are not affected.

We recommend transferring your domain names to a registrar of your choice as soon as possible. You will need the authorisation code (auth code / EPP code) for each domain name, which you can get from your account here.

We strongly recommend transferring your domain names out before the store closes, to prevent the risk of losing access to them.

Yes. For as long as this store remains open your domain names will continue to renew as normal, whether automatically or if you renew manually. Once the store closes you may lose the ability to manage your domain names here, so we still recommend transferring.

An authorisation code (also called an auth code or EPP code) is a unique password for your domain name. Your new registrar needs it to complete a transfer. To get yours:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on the domain name you want to transfer.
  3. Click the Generate code button at the top of the domain's page.
  4. The code is emailed to the domain's Administrative Contact address. Check your inbox, and your spam or junk folder, a few minutes later.
  1. Choose the registrar you want to move your domain name to.
  2. Make sure the domain name is unlocked and generate its authorisation code in your account.
  3. Start the transfer with your new registrar and give them the authorisation code when asked.
  4. Approve the transfer if you are sent a confirmation email, then wait for your new registrar to confirm it is complete. This usually takes up to five days.

If you get stuck at any point, email us at support@cymrudomains.com and we will help.

We do not charge you for transferring a domain name away from us. Your new registrar may charge for the transfer: a transfer renews your domain name for one year as part of the process, so the cost is typically similar to a renewal price.

As part of the transfer your new provider can set your domain name up with the same DNS records (the records that link your domain to your hosting or mailboxes), so you can avoid any downtime.

We will confirm the closing date by email to the address on your account, and we will publish it here. Please do not wait for that email to transfer your domain names.

Email us at support@cymrudomains.com or use our contact form, and we will be happy to help.
